Overview of the role:
The Program Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of programs and projects through a disciplined IT project management process in close collaboration with business partners, team members and various other functions. This individual will assume end-to-end accountability for single or multiple concurrent projects and large programs consisting of multiple projects. The Program Manager will be a member of the Governance Team and will coordinate the work of project managers, create and maintain interlocking schedules for projects of a program, track program interdependencies, maintain and present status of the program, track and address risks/issues at the program level, among other duties.
What you will be expected to perform:
Strategic Goal Orchestration:
- Annual Goal Management: Take ownership of the Annual Goals documents, ensuring that the connection between tasks and organizational objectives remains intact. Conduct grooming sessions as needed to maintain the document's purpose and alignment.
- Variance Management: Collaborate with Financial Business Partners (FBP), HR Business Partners (HRBP), and Project Managers to create a variance process against the Financial Model. Track financial goals and proactively alert key stakeholders during weekly meet-ups.
- Mini Growth Engines: Visualize the organization as a collection of mini Growth engines within Product, Marketing, and Product Marketing. Collaborate closely with each to streamline processes, enhance planning, and drive growth.
- Outcome-Oriented OKRs: Ensure that OKRs across the organization are focused on outcomes rather than task completion. Aim for a minimum of 70% outcome completion each quarter, progressively increasing over time.
- Multi-Quarter Visibility: Maintain a multi-quarter view of organizational goals, coordinating capacity, capability, and funds with HRBPs, FBPs, and departmental heads to reduce the percentage of urgent issues requiring immediate attention.
- Capacity Planning: Own and orchestrate a capacity planning workflow in collaboration with HRBPs, FBPs, and department managers to align with organizational goals.
- Contractor Management: Maintain a pool of top-notch contractors, oversee negotiations, and manage the contractor management process.
Operational Efficiency:
- Benchmark Speed: Measure and benchmark the speed, cost, and security risks of execution. -
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and workflow enhancements to achieve faster, cost-effective, and secure execution.
Process Oversight:
- Documentation: Work with Project Management teams across departments to document workflows and ensure their health and efficiency.
- Workflow Gates: Implement workflow gates, such as JIRA flows or Notion for Marketing, to automate and audit workflows.
People & Culture:
- Efficiency Observation: Observe on-ground efficiency and harmony within and among teams. Engage relevant teams to drive improvements.
- Visibility and Motivation: Provide teams with visibility of their task outcomes to motivate and foster healthy competition. Create leaderboards and celebrate wins.
- Project Manager Deployment: Deploy self-driven subordinates within teams as Project Management leaders to free up capacity for strategic workflows.
- Succession Planning: Assist HRBPs in succession planning and training programs based on on-ground observations.
- Incentivization: Coordinate with HRBPs and FBPs to facilitate effective incentivization, such as spot bonuses, to maintain staff motivation and publicly reward desirable behaviors.
Cultural Stewardship:
- Annual Goals Artifact: Maintain and arrange refresher sessions for the annual goals artifact to keep the organization aligned with its objectives and challenges.
- Operational Efficiency Evangelist: Foster values and behaviors that promote operational efficiency through engaging programs and sessions, collaborating closely with relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in relevant industry
- Minimum 2 years’ program management experience

- Strong reading and comprehension skills, written and verbal communication skills including Presentations
