Overview of the role:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of software solutions to support our business objectives. This role is ideal for candidates with 2 to 4 years of experience in software development and a strong foundation in programming languages such as PHP, Node.js, TypeScript, Nest.js, and Python. Experience with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite is desirable, along with exposure to message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka. The Junior Software Engineer will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, learn from experienced team members, and contribute to the success of our projects.

What you will be expected to perform:

  • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications using PHP, Node.js, TypeScript, Nest.js, and Python.
  • Support database development and optimization using MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite.
  • Participate in the integration of message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka into existing systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to gather and analyze requirements, and contribute to technical specifications.
  • Write clean, efficient code and conduct unit testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Learn new technologies and tools as needed to support project requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in software development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as PHP, Node.js, TypeScript, Nest.js, and Python.
  • Familiarity with database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite.
  • Exposure to message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new concepts quickly.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
